The Punta Lava Lighthouse stands in one of the most impressive and ever-changing landscapes on the coast of Tazacorte. Located on a tongue of solidified lava, its white figure emerges between the volcanic black and the blue of the Atlantic, marking the point where earth and fire meet the sea.
To get there, simply follow the road to La Bombilla and turn off towards Las Hoyas, where a small footpath borders the plantations until you reach the lighthouse. The route is short and easily accessible, although comfortable shoes and caution are recommended, as part of the terrain retains traces of the most recent lava flows.
The environment conveys an almost lunar beauty: silence, sea breeze, and the roar of the ocean crashing against the rock. From this point, you get unique views of the fajana created by the 2021 volcano, as well as the southwest coast of the island.
It is a place that invites you to stop, breathe, and contemplate nature in its purest form.
