The Barranco de las Angustias is one of the most impressive and awe-inspiring landscapes in La Palma. It is part of the Protected Landscape of the Caldera de Taburiente, and its enormous natural gorge—carved by erosion over millions of years—is the gateway to the National Park.
From Tazacorte, you can access its final stretch, where water, volcanic rocks, and endemic vegetation create a humid microclimate full of life.
The route combines vertical walls of more than 600 meters, waterfalls, narrow canyons, and breathtaking panoramic views. It is a place where the force of nature is clearly perceived, a witness to the volcanic past and the eternal struggle between fire and water that defines the island.
